According to authorities, actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on July 27 after a wreck in which he injured his hand and knee.

Los Angeles County, California Sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Wolf said that at around 3 a.m. on the day of the crash, LaBeouf was attempting to make a left turn at an intersection in West Hollywood when his pickup collided with another vehicle and rolled over.

According to Wolf, it was immediately apparent to responding officers that LaBeouf, 22, was intoxicated and he was arrested. Wolf said he was booked and released for misdemeanor DUI before being transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment for the injuries he sustained.

A female passenger and the other vehicle’s driver, who Wolf said he didn’t know the identities of, were uninjured.

LaBeouf is best known for his roles in the films “Transformers” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”
