A man from Bolton, Connecticut was arrested twice within the same weekend for driving under the influence.
In the first incident on Saturday, August 9 at approximately 8 p.m., 48-year-old Delmar Cooke was stopped after being spotted swerving by Sgt. Paul Miffit.
Miffit booked Cooke on charges of failure to drive in the proper lane and DUI. Miffit told Cooke that his license would be suspended for a period of 24 hours.
The following day at approximately 5:20 p.m., police received a report of a pickup truck swerving and nearly striking several other vehicles. The truck was spotted by Officer Kip Ferguson, who determined that it was Cooke and placed him under arrest again. The police report said that his blood-alcohol content was 0.213 and 0.197 later. The legal limit is 0.08.
After his second arrest, Cooke’s bail was set at $25,000, but was later reduced to $10,000 at his arraignment.
