On September 26, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board came to the decision to suspend the law license of John F. McGarvey of Richmond for a period of 18 months. The decision comes as a result of McGarvey’s conviction for third offense driving under the influence in Richmond Circuit Court.
McGarvey’s suspension is effective retroactive to April 24, 2008, which is the date the board summarily suspended his license pending a disciplinary hearing.
