On April 14, NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. According to police, the Denver Nuggets forward was arrested after being pulled over for weaving and failing to dim his lights.

According to Detective Sharon Hahn, Anthony failed to pass a series of sobriety tests and was subsequently charged with DUI. Hahn said he was taken to police headquarters and released to a "sober responsible party."

According to Anthony's attorney, he consented to a blood test, but the results will be unavailable for about two weeks.

Anthony played his worst game of the season on the night of the arrest, being held to 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting against a Houston Rockets team that was without defensive specialist Shane Battier.

Last season, Anthony took part in a brawl at New York's Madison Square Garden, punching New York Knicks player Mardy Collins and receiving a 15-game suspension.

In February, Anthony was pulled over in Colorado for driving 25 mph over the posted speed limit.
