Despite allegedly driving 80 miles an hour and weaving on the Ventura Freeway, failing California Highway Patrol (CHP) conducted field sobriety tests and recording a BAC over the state limit of .08, an attorney for actress Vivica A. Fox entered a not guilty plea on two counts of DUI September 27 in Los Angeles Superior Court. If convicted, she faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Actress Allegedly Berated Arresting Officer

Fox was stopped March 20 in the San Fernando Valley this year after her SUV raced past a black-and-white-marked CHP car. The police report said Fox berated the arresting officer. "Fox began to walk away, yelling at my partner, `Brother, help a sister, are you going to let this racist white cop do this ... well, are you?'" according to the report.

Fox said she regretted the incident. “I won't ever make that mistake again…I'm going to hire a driver next time."

The 43-year-old actress has appeared in "Kill Bill, Vol. 1," "Ella Enchanted" and guest-starred in television shows "Cosby," "Alias" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
