Very few attorneys can match Bob's impressive background. Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Bob graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. degree, cum laude, in Economics. He received his law degree from the College of William and Mary in 1984. After graduating from law school, Bob was chosen for a prestigious federal law clerk position, clerking for Judge James C. Cacheris in United States District Court in Alexandria, Virginia.

After finishing his clerkship, Bob spent a year with an insurance defense law firm and then was hired as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in Fairfax County. In his four years as a prosecutor under the tutelage of legendary Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney Bob Horan (who prosecuted sniper Lee Boyd Malvo), Battle tried over 50 jury trials and handled thousands of non-jury cases. Bob also spent two years as the Prosecutor for the City of Fairfax.

Since leaving the prosecutor's office in 1990, Bob has had an extremely active litigation practice in Virginia and DC. Bob was married in 1999 and moved to Richmond, Virginia and has rapidly built a thriving practice in the Richmond area.

As a comedian, Bob has opened up for such stars as Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock, Norm MacDonald and Donny Osmond. He has even had current stars Dave Chapelle and Wanda Sykes open up for him when they were beginning their comedy careers! On the acting front, Bob starred as the "man on the street" in a popular series of Volvo ads and has received training at the prestigious Shakespeare Theater in DC. As if all this is not enough, Bob found time to spend eight years as  the press box announcer for the Washington Redskins (1997-2005).
