According to University of Nevada head football coach Chris Ault, Wolf Pack center Dominic Green has been stripped of his captain’s position and his scholarship after being arrested for driving under the influence.

According to authorities, Green, who was a four-year starter at the university, was bringing a friend home in the friend’s car on December 12 when a state trooper stopped him because the license plate was expired.

Green was subsequently arrested for DUI.

According to Ault, Green will not be a team captain as he normally would have when the team plays the University of Maryland in the Roady’s Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, Idaho on December 30. He also said that Green losing his scholarship means that the senior, who is scheduled to graduate in May, will have to pay his own way for his final semester.
